Are Society6 Posters High-Quality?

With all the different Society6 posters I’ve ever bought throughout the years, I’ve always been impressed by the thickness and the super glossiness of the paper. This is not your regular, flimsy poster. This is definitely what I would call a “premium” poster.

As for the design, I always found that the details were sharp and the colors are beautiful, amazingly vibrant, and just eye-catching. These bright, bold colors will definitely grab anyone’s attention.

But, unfortunately, sometimes reviewers will complain that the poster they received was blurry or pixelated. This is usually due to the artists uploading low-quality images to Society6.com.

So, if you do get an item that is not to your liking, no problem! Just let Society6’s customer service know about your issue (it can sometimes take up to 3 days to get a reply, especially around the holidays).

I’ve dealt with Society6’s customer service before, and my experience is that they’ll do anything to make their customers happy.

Society6 Posters vs Packaging & Shipping

There were some complaints that the edges of Society6’s posters were a little crinkled at the edges because of the way it was packaged.

The poster prints I ordered from Society6 in the past were shipped in tubes that were extremely hard to open (I needed pliers to take the cap off). The posters were rolled and protected by a plastic sleeve before being inserted into the tube.

Once, when I ordered a few of the posters in 2018, one end of the plastic sleeve was stuffed inside the rolled posters, which slightly crinkled the edge of the posters. But I frame all of my posters with poster frames (Amazon) anyway, and the edges of the posters are hidden. So, it didn’t bother me enough to get a replacement.

The 2 posters that I just ordered came in a long, triangular cardboard package, which was different from what I’m used to. The posters were also rolled and wrapped in a big piece of paper. My posters weren’t damaged at all.

However, I’ve noticed that a few reviewers on Trustpilot mention that their posters came in a triangular package and were crinkled or folded.

I know that people are more likely to leave a review about a company or product when there’s something to complain about, so I’m wondering if this packaging issue is really common.

I also noticed some customers mentioning that their posters came in rectangular boxes (with no complaints about the poster being damaged). So, I’m confused as to what’s happening with Society6 and how they’re packaging posters at the moment. Maybe they’re trying different packaging with different people to see what works. (As soon as I figure out what’s happening with this, I’ll update this post.)

In any case, if something happens that your posters arrive damaged, contact Society6 ASAP for a replacement. Society6’s customer service is really great for that. (You’ll just need to take pictures as proof of damage).

Just buy an inexpensive poster frame (Amazon) and voilà! Your posters now have a finished, professional look.

Conclusion: Are Society6 Posters Worth the Price?

The answer to this question is, it depends.

For starters, Society6 posters are made with high-quality materials. The print quality is very good, with rich and vibrant colors. And the poster paper has a nice gloss and a great thickness to it.

But unlike many other posters on the market, Society6 posters are designed by independent artists. This means that each poster has its own unique style. And because they’re produced in limited quantities, you’re unlikely to meet someone else with the same poster as you.

So if you’re looking for a poster with personality, then Society6 posters are definitely worth the price.
